Very Strange Windows Updates Behavior

This "new" security update keeps showing up even though I've installed it several times by now. After installation I'm even told that the update was "installed successfully". Every other update installs just fine. Any idea why this one keeps popping up?

Default Browser in Vista

Every time I open Firefox in Vista it asks if I want to make it my default browser, and I say yes. It seems to me that Windows security won't let me change my default browser. I have Firefox set as the default browser for the start menu too. What do I have to do to make Firefox and not IE7 my default browser? thanks
