Why does Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 keeps closing on me? It happens about 3 seconds after w/ Vista

I have Vista Ultimate and I am running Adobe Acrobat Professional 8. Every time I open a pdf file, it says open about 3 seconds and then it closes.

I have the same problem, Adobe Acrobat closes on my XP or Vista Home Premium OS. Does anyone knows how to fix this problem?

Looking for help also. My husband and I are having the same problem on two different computers. I have Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 and he has Standard. I downloaded the update 8.1, but it did not solve the problem.

I bet someone, somewhere, is having a good laugh right about now.

Adobe tech support are giving customers the run-around, as usual.

I've had it with them. When a malicious programmer attacks your company, which is inevitable, even for smaller companies - you don't distribute inter-office policies that instruct your employees to give your customers the run-around, unless you don't care about losing a few.

Every time i receive an attachment with email through windows mail and try to open it directly from the program, i get an error message: "no program associated with this file extension. this happens primarily with .pdf's and sometimes with .doc's.
