I'm not sure whether this goes in "economy" or what, but it's a thread about sales techniques and customer service in Second Life. Here's a verbatim...

So I have the texture business open, and its doing fairly well in my opinion. But I am totally unable to even think of forecasting sales due to the seemingly random pattern of actual sales.Last month (Feb) sales where as followsSL Exchange : 15,000SL Botique: 6,000In Game: 1,500Now the store was not fully set up in game, and I had no classified running for most of that month but there are a few questions to ask. I can't track views on SL Botique but why the hell is it about half my SL X sames.Visits mean about nothing on SL E some days I get 90 views and 0 sales others 20 views and 4 sales....In game traffic has been increasing but sales are still mellow.How Do I tweak this and find trends when it still looks random at the moment. Granted I'm not bitching about 21k worth of sales for 3 weeks.

But before that I was the owner of a smaller company called Metro security only 3 employees none of them loyal to the cause and like so many companies it went down the drain along with its profit and time and money spent making the company. so in order to secure my future i decided to merge with ATS security. not really what i wanted to do. the owner basicalyl had diffrent ideas of how he wants to run things and has a diffrent way of taking care of things. that i didn't like. But i decided to roll with it anyways since he was offering me a management position.

I'm wondering if it's just me that SL sales on inworld products has steadily plummeted since patch 1.14 and still going downhill.:crying: Sales...

I came across this the other day, and I have to say it is much easier than my experience with JAVN back in the day.
