Hi all,
I am having problems with my Vista Ultimate install, the problem is when I plug a new device in its not automatically installing the device drivers like my other Machines do it is however presenting me with a screen asking me what I want to do, the first option is a search option and when clicked it goes straight to Windows Update and looks there and has no luck, the second option is for me to search myself and I cant find the drivers that way either and the third is to never be notified of this hardware again.
When I plug this device (Pocket PC) into my other Machines the Driver Install happens automatically and the device is installed no problems and it never goes onto Windows Update at all to find the drivers however it searches for preconfigured drivers and finds them in there but this does not happen on my other Machine.
So has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it? It seems to me that the driver install wizard is set to manual and the Machine no longer looks in its preconfigured drivers section for compatible drivers automatically, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance.
Regards,
Kevin

I'm having the same issue.
I'm having the same issue. When I plug a device in (let's say a card reader) I have to manually click on browse my computer for drivers for simple things like generic volumes. This worked a week ago and now it is broken. Trying to find a solution but this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere yet.
