Ok, first things first. My card is a nVidia 7900gs go 256mb. Dxdiag tells me I'm running DX10. I didn't think a DX9 card could run DX10, or is my card running DX10 without all the DX10 specific features? Also, my card shows up as a 512mb card under dxdiag. And when I try to use the new beta nVidia drivers it says I don't have compatible hardware, maybe I'm on crack, but I could swear that it said my card is supported by the drivers. Any ideas?
Hey, I just installed vista x 64 ultimate and found that can't install my network card D-Link DGE-530T, I've installed the Windows XP x64 drivers, server 2003 and still no success. Anyone had the same problem? did you solved it? Thanks in advance!
hello fellas - i was curious if anyone knew how to go about restoring the "Flip3D"/task-changer icon that was originally loaded into the quicklaunch menubar when you first installed vista. i still have the "show desktop" link but i accidently removed the task-changer icon and i'm not quite sure how to go about restoring it?
Hi all - Sorry if this topic has already been discussed. I couldn't find it in the forum. If I've missed it, please direct me to the post!
I recently bought a copy of Vista overseas in Asia (out of a giant $4.99 bucket, so I seriously doubt it's legitimacy) and installed it on my system. The software came with instructions to disable or 'crack' the 30-day activation code by changing time and date settings. I gave that a go, but the next day the software was already "expired" and it is not letting me access any of my files or programs unless I go through 'SAFE MODE'.
I have decided to just wait until the official release of Vista, and to buy myself a real legit copy. However, in the meantime, I would like to re-install Windows XP on my computer without formatting my hard drive or losing drivers and settings. But, when I load the XP disc in Vista, the option to "Install Windows XP" is disabled. How do I get around this?
I had a horrible trojan/worm/virus prob. I couldnt even reformat. So I removed my hard drive put it in an external and used my other comp to format it. I put it back in tha machine rebooted and started the install process using my oem windows xp...
