Similar Problems Found Solution
If you know how to operate your registry...proceed....
find your software_local folder access ahead and the nero folder... delete both then reinstall... i had same problem with vista and got the new nero 7.10.10 and it works great
I don't have Vista, but
I don't have Vista, but usually icons just point to a file somewhere. That's the way it's worked all the way back to Windows 3.1 Remember when you installed Nero it asked WHERE you want to install it? Navigate to that folder and try to find something like "nero.exe". You may need to turn extensions on. Microsoft tried to hide extensions to make Windows more like a Mac. Double click on that .exe and see what happens. If it's the one you want right click it and click "create shortcut" or whatever the equivalent is in Vista. Then cut and paste the shortcut onto the desktop or wherever you want it.
CD BurnerXP
Just install CDBurnerXP, its free and works great in Vista.
Get power2go from cyberlink
Get power2go from cyberlink at www.cyberlink.com. This is from the company which made powerDVD. Power2Go is a smaller program than Nero, has all the features of nero and also allows password protected CDs.
