There really aren't many antivirus packages for Windows Mobile. Probably the best among the few there are is this one:

Try it - it does have a 30-day trial period, so you can see whether it works for you. Make sure to check their compatibility list for your phone.

Considering the nature of the problem, I recommend that you follow CastleCops' Malware Removal and Prevention procedure, a new system CastleCops devised to enable users to either partially, or fully clean their systems without the direct aid of an expert.

Free is good.

They are discontinuing support for 7.1 after January. You will have to upgrade to the free 7.5 version to keep getting definition updates.

Been using Grissoft AVG Free and now get the notice that they are discontinuing a free version in January.

So do I bite the bullet and pay for antivirus software or are there some good free alternatives still out there?

Recommendations?
