I've been running Vista Ultimate since early December (RTM) with few problems. I have been using Firefox for years with no problems.

That is until last week or so. Now when I start Firefox in Vista I have a few problems:

1. Sometimes Firefox doesn't start at all. The process starts, but the window doesn't launch.

or

2. If I get the window to launch, all my add-on settings have reset themselves, my home page reset itself, and my other settings have reset itself.

Sometimes firefox starts up fine. Other times I encounter one of the two problems listed above.

Firefox 3Previously I was using Firefox 2 and was happy with its performance. Then I downloaded the latest version Firefox 3.0 on world download day. More than 22 million downloads are done till now. Earlier I used to tweak my browser to optimize it for the best performance. Now I am experimenting with the optimization tricks on the latest version. I am sharing them with you here. However I am a little disappointed with the extension compatibilities of the latest version. I guess I will need to re-install most of the extensions I was using with the earlier version.

Hi all, I'm running premium home 32bit. I've installed firefox no problem but I can't seem to install any add ons as Vista doesn't seem to understand the .xpi file format. any ideas?

When I use Firefox in windows vista the screen shakes up and down quickly. But when I switch themes to something else like windows classic the problem goes away or if i put Firefox into full screen the shaking stops. Any one have any ideas on how i...
