Acer Will Ship First Android Based Netbook

Acer is expected to start shipping the first Google Android netbook sometime in the third quarter of 2009. According to the same Wall Street Journal article Dell and HP are both interested in shipping Google Android based netbooks as well. This will be Google's first major strike against a dominant Microsoft OS product.

Inventec Set to Release Systems Based on the Qualcomm ...

Inventec is preparing to release 4 new netbook models based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in the 4th quarter this year. The new Snapdragon processor is based on 45 nanonmeter technology and is based on an ARM microprocessor core.
