Twenty years ago, scientists using radiocarbon dating estimated that the famous artifact was produced some time in the Middle Ages -- a blow to those who contended the material was in fact the burial cloth of Jesus Christ.But now one of the shroud’s most prominent researchers has embarked on a new effort to challenge the findings with the help of his wife.
