I will be receiving my vista upgrade within the week, I see that it is possible to do a clean install using the upgrade.
what are the pro's and con's of doing a clean upgrade versus just upgrading. I know I will lose everything on my computer, but for the most part it is just a bunch hp programs I don't use anyway.

2 ghz ram, T5500 C2D

I currently have vista basic running on my new pc. I am considering upgrading to premium or ultimate. 1st ? is, is it worth it, and second if I do get the upgrade online by downloading it from microsoft, do I have to burn it to dvd or do i just install whatever they give me. I don't have a dvd burner as of yet. And I don't really want to do a clean install if I don't have too.

1st of all hi i am new..second i did some searching and found some answere but i want to make sure before i buy vista.

1. i went to best buy earlier and i ask the tech guy about the upgrade that allows you install full CD. He said its not true.
so if i buy the upgrade i can make a complete install, if i completely wipe out the HD before installing Upgrade Vista?

2. What happens to my XP Sp2 key does it expire if i install vista and it recognizes my xp key or i can use it on another pc?

3. Should i just buy Ultimate Vista instead of upgrade?

4. If i ever upgrade the mobo and cpu i could still use the same key or i need to purchase another one?

Just wanted to ask fellow Vista upgrade members have any of you already received your free Vista upgrade? I signed up through the Modus link Microsoft Vista Upgrade Site, and it tells me that my Proof of Purchase and Certificate of Authenticity...

Am thinking of upgrading to Vista and was wondering if i purchase a home premium upgrade pack will i be legally able to upgrade 2 computers (desktop and laptop) that are currently both running legal copies of XP Pro SP2 with just one upgrade pack?
