I decided to give napster a weeks trial and everything streams perfectly from the streaming albums . I tried to download some songs. Once downloaded i tried to play them and all i get for each song is SORRY THERE WAS A PROBLEM PLAYING THIS TRACK PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER . Ive downloaded quite a few songs and tried but i get the same thing help........Is it to do with my drm or something like that...

I get the following error when trying to play a DVD. My guess is an video driver problem:

Error Message Reads:
"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card."

I tried that. No success. Any suggestions?

Ok lemme try my best to explain all this and see what you all think. ( i do apologize for the length)

Ok i installed vista last week. The install went smoothly, and i was able to get everything up and running fine. I was impressed with windows vista and its ease of getting things installed. I installed the drivers for my sound card, and the drivers were a bit dated. But alas vista prevailed and my sound worked great. BTW i am running a SB Audigy Value 2 sound card. So a few days went by and things were going fine, and one evening my wife and i decided to start cleaning so i was going to crank up some tunes to work to, and this is where things started going wrong. The mp3 files started to play and were doing ok for a time, but then started to stop in mid song, and then stopped playing all together. I dont believe it was my sound card because the counter on the media player stopped ticking also. It was late and i just didnt feel like messing with it so i went to bed.

Whenever i try to play videos i have downloaded which worked on my old p.c. (which used X.P.) all they show is a black screen and the audio. This has happened so far to three of the four vidoes i have downloaded. I know these videos work from past experiance, and i have used media player classic, quicktime (which just said error) divx, and windows media player. They all have the same problem. Can some one help me.

I just recently bought a new laptop, which has Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed. Like many others, I started to rip music from my CD collections to my new laptop (I rip it using Windows Media Player 11). Couple of days later I finished with my CD ripping, and now my library has around 500 songs in it. I had no problem until around 2-3 days ago. Just before I turned off my laptop, there was a Windows Update. It updates automatically before my laptop turned off. The next time I turn on my laptop, my whole library is gone. The song files are still there (under Administrator/Music), but its not in my library. I can play them on my playlist (click twice on any song), but thats it. I tried adding them again to my library by going to "Add to Library" and choosing the Music folder, but nothing happened. I also bought a new CD and tried to rip it, but Windows Media Player 11 does not recognize the CD (I mean, it sees my album as Unknown Album, even though its Norah Jones' newest album).. I tried "Find Album Info" and it shows all the informations of the album(Songs name, Album Art, etc), but when I click "Finish", it still shows Unknown Album and Track 1, Track 2 and so on.
