Steve asked a valuable question; why don't they shut down the grid and fix everything. Us who do programming and computer networking know an answer...
Those of you who stop by here from time to time tend to be the business-type and up on business-y stuff, but just on the off chance you haven't seen it yet, Business Week has a nice summary on the...
Automatic Log off??? How Do I stop vista business from logging off automatically after 40 mins and closing all my stuff?
I have Vista Business and I have programs open and leave open while I am away. But Vista automatically logs out after about 45 mins and closes everything. Is there a control I can change to stop it from automatically logging off my user and closing down programs?

Yep, you heard right, custom make your PC. You might even get the some of the same features as the high end pre bulit model, for LESS. for example, I saw this HP 17" laptop for $2,500. I custom made it for fun and ended up around $1,984. Some features i remoed were:
HD DVD Drive
240GB HD (I lowered it to around 160GB)
Added on a 512MB Nvidia Graphics card
higher res. display
Came close to 2,000, but a lot better then 2,500.
So do reasearch, if you want to buy the high end model, look up the specs, if there are some features you don't want/need such as an HD DVD drive or a 512MB Graphics card (256 MB will do just fine) etc, you may want to do a customzible model.
Hey guys, I was following this guide: http://apcmag.com/5023/dual_booting_xp_with_vista
Here's the deal, I have a SATA drive with Vista on it (partitioned into 2 volumes, 20 gigs for Vista on drive C and 270 gigs for everything else). I followed the instructions up to the part where you shrink the drive. Now, I have 3 drives: 100-something gigs unformatted, 100 gigs of main stuff on DRIVE C, and WINDOWS on drive D! I want to dual boot XP, but the main priority here is NOT LOSING THE STUFF that is now on drive C (it's a LOT of stuff). Now Windows won't start! I want to:
I downloaded Dreamscenes for my Ultimate Vista machine and made a folder on the desktop for the files. I deleted what was in the folder and now I...
So I'm browsing on the NVidia website and I start running across 'SLI-enabled PCs'. There is all kinds of stuff about SLI but nothing that really explaines it. Do I have it? I don't know but I would like to! Can anyone clarify this for me as far...
So I got all my stuff transferred over from My Documents on my XP to Documents on Vista. To access, it asks me to name what program Iwant to open...
