Cyber affairs cited in breakdown of real marriages

Affairs conducted via social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter are increasingly a cause of marriage breakdowns, according to divorce lawyers.

Matrimonial experts at law firm Turner Parkinson said social networking is increasingly cited as a reason for divorce as spouses embark on cyber affairs.

A British woman is filing for divorce after discovering her husband has been virtually philandering in Second Life.

28-year-old Amy Taylor cited unreasonable behaviour in the petition for divorce, claiming that she had walked in on her husband having sex with another woman.
