Hello!

I searched, but could not find the answer. I have been using RC1 on my desktop, which is equivalent to Ultimate. I am going to be getting a copy of Home Premium (Express Upgrade) with my laptop I just bought. I was looking at the listed items for each edition and there is a line item for Ultimate that is not listed for others; business networking and remote connections. I was wondering what that means because I went into a Best Buy and looked at two machines there, one had Home and the other Home Premium. They both had remote connections listed in the programs list and it ram when I clicked on it?

I have a Vista Home Premium machine. My mom has a laptop with XP Home. I had used remote desktop before when we both had XP, my question is, will it work with a Vista/XP setup or not? Can I go from the XP to the Vista?

This is my first post, after reading many, I realized that my questions were still left unanswered. Just wondering if you guys can answer a couple short questions I have about Vista.

I am looking to buy Vista Home Premium or Ultimate upgrade. After reading about the different editions, there are two things I don't quite understand.

1) Does HP not have System Restore like XP did, or does Ultimate just have a more advance version of it?

2) If I don't purchase Ultimate, will I still be able to use Remote Desktop Connection?

Those are just two topics I found particularly confusing, but find very important in my decision.

ok i got a new laptop:

HP Pavilion dv6247cl
Centrino Duo - 1.73 GHz / 2.0 gigs RAM
110 gigs of hard drive

it had vista home premium originally; with all bunch of free trial programs

i reinstalled vista home premium to vista ultimate; kinda lost some drivers but now its all back
except one thing

my laptop has some "quick play" buttons for "quick time player and dvd player"
those don't work now
and laptop also has a little remote control for vista media center; DVD; quick play;
that also doesn't work
