Say I have 1 GB of RAM and I got vista. Then I plugged in a new 2 GB Flash Drive and used it with readyboost to speed up my computer. Would I then have 3GB of RAM?

I just ordered a Sandisk Ultra II 2.0gb SD card and am trying to get it to work with ReadyBoost. I don't know if there is a forum post on tips to get readyboost to work, though that would be great if there were.

I am having trouble using readyboost as it says the card is too slow though the card claims 10 read and 9 write, i dont know how fast the random access is, though I thought the card would be good enough as many people had it work. I have tried formating it in so many different ways, NTFS FAT FAT32, different options as well, does anyone know of a sweet spot to have this stuff work? I'm going to uninstall my drivesr for my sd card reader and reinstall to see if that works.

My problem is EXACTLY the same as dynamix's problem . You plug it in, set up the readyboost, works fine for a few minutes, then gone, just like that. In order to get it back i have to unplug it plug it back in reformat sometimes, sometimes I have...
