When you find your ipod is manually managed, its sometimes harder to follow some help sites instructions as to how to get music off your ipod to computer. Here is a way of doing it when your ipod is manually managed. These insturctions are for vista users because thats how i did it.

First To find if your ipod is manually managed. Load it up in itunes and select the ipod. It should have some sentances with check boxes next to it. If enable disk use is selected but grey. This way is usful.

1. Once you have done all the ubove go to my computer.

Using my fairly new Toshiba Laptop with Vista Home Premium has been an awesome experience so far. I am just loving everything about it!! Now I just got a Zune Media player and have downloaded a ton of songs for free with the trail subscription. I have to say my impressions of the Zune player.

I was a little worried as I have read so many negative reviews. Kind of like Vista. Seems people do not like change and I embrace it!! The Zune seems to have better sound quality than my 20 gig Ipod. The screen is awesome. The GUi is very nice and I like the click wheel better than the iPod. I have read some people would like it to be backwards compatible and I agree it would be nice but the Zune marketplace has a lot of music and I think there is a way to import all of the music from my iTunes since it will play AAC.

ok so i have the full version of Windows Vista business not the upgrade and i want to upgrade to Ultimate. First off i find it kind of funny as it costs $180 CDN but the difference of buying business to ultimate the retail package is only $120 CDN, but thats besides the point. So my question is if i do the express upgrade does it upgrade only my current computer to ultimate, or the license because im planning on installing vista on my laptop in 2 weeks, so i am wondering if it upgrades my license so when i install it on my laptop will it be ultimate to, or will it be just on my desktop and for that computer only..... any help would be greatly appreciated.
