YouTube has added a new feature which allows you to deep link within videos, meaning you can start playback from anywhere in the video, just enter the seconds/minutes you want to start from.

Techcrunch gives the example:

How to preserve my sound settings.

Hi guys, first post.

In the Control Panel I select Hardware and Sound. I then select Sound and click on Manage audio devices. The Sound dialog is displayed and on the Playback tab I can see a registered item for Speakers. If I select the Properties and then click the Custom tab there is a tickbox called S/PDIF Enable. But when I enable the tickbox the OK button is available but the Apply button is permanently disabled.

I'm using the optical-out connector from my on-board sound card into my external DVD/amp and it all works ok. It's just that everytime I reboot I have to go into the control panel and do the above to set the S/PDIF tickbox. This is on my own PC at home. I have full administration rights (supposedly). But why doesn't Vista allow me to use the Apply button to hopefully set the tickbox permanently? I'm using the Home Premium version.

Bit perfect playback with Windows Media Player 11

Mon, 2007-02-05 14:58 - Topics:

I upgraded to Vista chiefly because of the supposed better audio capabilities over XP. However, I'm can't find any information on the exclusive user mode and the WASAPI so I can figure out if I have Windows Media Player set up to handle bit perfect playback, or if WMP will even supports this. Any info will be greatly appreciated as there is basically no information on Vista audio. Thanks!
