It always stuck at "Calculating time remaining..." and copy much slower than XP!
anyone has the same problem? how did you fix it?

"Calculating time remaining" Vista Slow Copy FIX
Hi,
After trying every fix I could find on the net to allow me to copy files across a network, I finally found the hotfix from Microsoft. KB931770.
downloaded and installed, it did stop explorer crashing every time I tried to copy, but still unable to copy any large files. I get a message

There is a problem accessing "\\xxxxxx\xxxxx\xxx"
Make sure you are connected to the network and try again.

Then an associate sent me a link to http://securevista.net . they have a patch there called "Vista TCP/IP and UAC AutoPatch 6.0 *update*" . I ran that patch and now am able to copy files across a network at full speed. not sure why, just know that after 2 weeks of trying to copy files across a network unsuccessfully and trying every fix I could find, I don't care why.
