At the center of this technology is a man who recently turned his face into a remote control - Ph.D. student Jacob Whitehill, of the University of California's Machine Perception Lab (MPLAB).More than just a wacky stunt, Whitehill's feat marked a major step forward in the way people could one day learn by establishing facial expression recognition in robot teachers.
