Hello folks, hope you can help me. We currently have a desktop PC at home which runs Windows XP Pro. I have just bought myself a new laptop (HP Pavilion dv2000), which is also currently running XP. My new laptop however is eligible for a free upgrade to Windows Vista. I have been getting used to my new laptop over the past week and setting up my network, so that I can share media files from my desktop to my laptop (desktop PC wasn't powerful enough to do some video editing, which is why I bought the laptop). Will it be ok for me to upgrade my laptop to Vista, have my desktop running XP and still be able to share files and generally network my computers as normal?

Okay let's be clear, I'm not interested in pirating or breaking any licensing terms.

I have 2 PCs, a desktop and laptop, both currently running xp media centre. Purchased my laptop in January and I've submitted, but am still waiting for my vista express upgrade.

It was always my intention to upgrade the laptop first, since that's just an entertainment PC.

Anyway, I received a complementary copy of vista home premium upgrade from Microsoft today (long story basically I moaned that my desktop was purchased just before the express upgrade started, with a big dose of my disability/special equipment!).

I bought a laptop from Best Buy just after Christmas, and they gave me a certificate for a free Vista Home Premium install disc. It should be arriving soon, and I assume it will be an upgrade disc since the laptop came with XP Media Center Edition....

I have an Acer Aspire 5100 laptop. The laptop came with XP MCE and worked just fine. I recently did the Vista upgrade and the laptop really seems to be doing pretty well.

In device manager, there are no conflicts or devices waiting to install. I finally figured out how to get my wireless printer to work so all it mostly good. The laptop has a mundane feature of a webcam. I rarely use it and just find it 'nifty.' I did try to use it using whatever the photo dealy is with Vista and it seems to hang the program and I cannot end it unless I reboot.

The bottom line is; has anyone else gotten their integrated webcam on their laptop working that uses this Bisoncam?
