For some reason my microsoft word icon changed to that old program icon. When i go to properties it will not let me change the icon back.

Hello all, hopefully someone can help me here.

I upgraded my XP installation to Vista Business yesterday, and all seemed to go well, but then, for no apparent reason, a number of icon types seem to have corrupted or something. Let me illustrate...

All of those little broken icons should be folders. As you can see, programs work fine, it's just default-icon folders (and this is the same in Explorer etc). I've tried going into the Properties of the folders and changing the icons, which seems to set ok, but the icon itself doesn't update, and when I go back into Properties it's showing as broken again.

Hello...

When under my profile, I have the folders for Favorites, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, etc...

However, the ICON for Downloads has changed and I want to revert it back to the default ICON for that folder. Yet the restore option under properties doesn't do the trick.

I know this is very minor but I liked the ICON to look like the others ones (color, scheme, etc.)

Any suggestions?

I am planning on purchasing a 22" 16:9 monitor which has a native resolution of 1680x1050. Now I have an nVidia GeForce 7600GT graphics card that supports it but I am stuck with using the crappy beta drivers with vista 64bit ver. I know in XP I can use that nView program and manually change to any resolution I want but when I am in vista I don't see anywhere that I can change this. In both nVidia control panel and the display settings in vista there is a maximum resolution of 1600x1200. Does anybody know how I could manually configure this in Vista before I purchase the monitor. Should I

Well when I go to my Music folder go to the song I want to change, right click and click properties go to details how come sometimes it wont let me change title, artists, album etc. Like when I click on it, it just highlights.
