My entire mouse pointer will disappear completely when I hover over certain areas, such as the url entry window in Internet Explorer, or the box that...

For some reason, unknown to me, I am having problems with the right-click feature of my mouse when I am connected to the internet and using Windows Explorer.

If I am at awebpage that I want to say copy a photo, or if I highlight a block of text and then right click the mouse button I am not able to copy the items.

I get the "tree" which would allow me to copy, paste, print, save as background but when I mouse over my choices it does not work. It does not even give me the visual response of turning the buttons a slightly different color indicating I coud do the action.

I can't get Vista to sleep/hibernate after a certain time when "Media sharing" is on, but when I'm not streaming media at the present time.

In the Power Options, Multimedia settings, I can control what infact happens when sharing media:

"Allow the computer to sleep." - this means that when I'm streaming music, Vista cuts off the connection after the specified time in the "Sleep/Hibernate after". Both the network and the harddisk is doing something, so it's not really in an idle state?
"Prevent idling to sleep" - nothing ever happens.
"Allow the computer to enter Away mode" - nothing ever happens.

After some time on Second Life, I decided it was time for me to find my own place--somewhere I could relax and work on my projects without interruption or needing to find a sandbox.

My search was a frustrating one. Trying to find a nice, quiet, relatively-lag free place with enough space to move around AND with a landlord who bothered to log in more than once every week (so he could add me to the property group!!) was remarkably difficult.

I have since found fairly suitable accomodations, but the experience got me interested in perhaps becoming a landlord myself. While I don't think I can do it better than everyone, I think I can do it better than SOME ;)

Realizing this is a major commitment that I'm pondering, I'd like to get some feedback from you--and hopefully a few pointers in the right direction.

Do I need to BUY land, or rent it?
What type of land am I looking for? Commercial?
Should I look at high-rise type condos, townhouses, villas...
