Hi, heres the story,
I bought a new PC from PC world with Windows Vista Home Premium, great stuff i thought.
I then plugged it all in and walla it works... no it doesnt it crashes. OK so system restore..
Working ok now... i think.
Anyhow when trying to connect to the internet with Tiscali Broadband i run into the issue that not many ISP's have got drivers out yet for Windows Vista.... irratating.
So ive phoned their costly and fruitless "help desks" based in i dont even know where but certainly no where in britian.
Tiscali say that cant do vista for while. Month maybe two but to be honest i dont think they even know a thing.
Ive phoned many ISP's and the best at the moment seem to be Pipex Broadband with their best package offering Vista... But no drivers out yet nor no modems.... Great stuff.
So ive bought a Modem Router. It is a BT Voyager 210 ADSL Router Modem which has been unlocked so any ISP can connection via it. So i recieved it in the post but no driver software... i would have thought this would have been a must?
So i plugged it all in but it doesnt even notice the ethernet connection.
So im basically out of ideas. And i would LOVE to know how you lot are on the internet as i certainly cant. Ive looked at BT and they seem to be pricey...
Any help what so ever would be greatelly appreciated. Ive had this PC over a month now and its bugged, crashing etc as i cant get updates.
Im ofcourse on my old pc atm.
Thanks in Advance![]()
