Why did you phone tech support?

Why the heck did you phone tech support at Dell? You do that kind of thing if your computer is broken -- not if a program doesn't work.. lol

hjsplit stopped

yes, my hjsplit just stopped working, as well. i reloaded it from a new ZIP file i download, and it the version is older than the one on my system, and still doesn't fix the program.
total mystery...i didn't do anything different to my machine betweeen last night and this night, but it just doesn't work anymore.

i got a problem while using

i got a problem while using hjsplit in vista. when i join all the files into one. tat joined file size is the same as the 001. can what is the problem? the file i split is rar file.

i've same problem, it is fixed.

I had same problem today, I've fixed it:
You've to add HJSPLIT.EXE TO DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION.

Here is the steps:
START>>RIGHT CLICK - MY COMPUTER >> PROPERTY>> click LINK - ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTING >> on system property, click ADVANCE TAB, AND CLICK PERFORMANCE SETTING BUTTON>> PERFORMANCE OPTIONS, SELECT DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION TAB>> SELECT 2ND RADIO BUTTON, CLICK ADD BUTTON - ADD HJSPLIT.EXE. CLICK APPLY AND OK BUTTON.
It worked for me, it may fix your problem. good luck.
below is the link, just follow and select hjsplit, instead of dllhost.

I'm having major problems with IE7. Everytime I try to open it it tells me "Internet Explorer has stopped working" and wont open. However if I right click and "run as administrator" it opens. I have tried resetting IE7, running it without add-ons, re-installing, everything! I have administrator priveleges too. As if that's not enough, every few times this happens i also get a message saying "windows host process rundll32 has stopped working".

I am officially stumped. Sorry for grumping, any help greatly appreciated.

Headset problem
A few weeks ago I installed Windows Vista ultimate. The 5.1 surround set worked perfect but my headset didn't, I already looked at my configurations but couldn't resolve the problems. Yesterday I installed CALL of DUTY 2 and suddenly my headphones worked. Only the problem is..: the 5.1 speaker set stopped working.. anyone with this same problem.. thanks for helping

I recently purchased a Sony laptop from Best Buy. The Sony was an "open Box" so they had to order a recover disk . Well I had to wait for weeks for the disk and when it finally came in, it turned out to be Spanish... Anyway, I told them I don't want the computer if I had to wait another 4 weeks, so I returned it. Got my money back and bought this Gateway. Before I returned it though, I got a rebate for the Vista Premium for Sony. It finally came in the mail yesterday...was a bit surprised. I had forgot all about it. My question is, my sister has a dell laptop. Will this disk work on hers even though it says Sony on it? Her computer is vista capapble. (Called Dell to verify)
