Hi guys,

My first post here so forgive me if I ask lame questions. My PC has an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics card with up to 256mb memory (I think). Would this be up to the job of handling Aero Glass when I upgrade from XP to Vista soon? Many thanks for any help.

PS. I also have 1GB RAM and 80GB Hard drive with a 3.06GHZ Pentium 4 processor. Can anyone see any problems I may have after the upgrade?

Because of my gay A** graphics card I am getting a rating of 2.0 on vista I have an ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M IGP. Video Memory, 128MB (Shared!!!!!!) I have a compaq laptop I was searching on E-Bay for the past two days but don't know which card to buy can someone help me please I would like to have the best graphics card to replace this one I am on a budget of $150 I have already replaced the DVD Rom drive with a DVD_+RW and Added 1G of Ram and 4G of Readyboost and a PCMCIA Bluetooth Card. I love this laptop because it's small portable and has a HI DEF Screen

I'm going to be updating my computer and I will be putting a New graphics card on my computer. ATI Radeon X1050, I'm going to install it before I upgrade. I only have 512mb of ram and will be adding more but I have to order it online. So will Windows Aero work. It says that it can on 512mb as long as your grahpics card runs it. Later on my memory will be 1GB +256MB=1280mb or Ram. Or if I install Vista ultimate and aero doesn't work will it later on once I have more ram? Thanks

You should be able to, but it's more dependent on your graphics hardware than RAM. I installed Vista RC2 on my 5-year-old tower (which has 512MB RAM and a 256MB ATi Radeon 9600 graphics card) and Aero chugged along fairly decently.

i have 3gb of memory. i have a 500 gb hard drive. i have a (fast) dual core processor. i have an amazing (arguably the best at the moment) graphics card.
