Hi all, when I play ANY game in Vista, even the ones that came with it, I get these "ghost tales" from the graphics. It flickers and stretches all over the game., The card games is the worst. Like Solitaire, but even the games like Supreme Commander does that. It is as if the graphics don't update correctly. Anyone help please.

I am using a Nvidia Geforce 6600 128mb graphics card and did update the drivers to the newest version on the net.
Pentium IV 2.67Ghz CPU, 1Gig Ram. THX.

I was wondering if there is a way to insert boxart of your installed games in the games folder. I've installed a couple of games but some do not show up in the games folder. At first I tought that only newer games appeared in the folder. But recently I've installed "Supreme Commander" & "Battlestations Midway" and none of those games appears automaticaly in the game folder.
When I place a shortcut of the game in the folder only an icon appears and no boxart.

I read somewhere that the appearance of games in the games folder is linked to a .GDF file. Such a file can be made using DirectXSDK. But what I can't figure out is how or where to insert the file so i can be used or read by the game explorer.

Now that I'm happy with my Vista installation,any of you avid gamers that can tell me a little bit about game performance on this OS? I play BF,FPS games. I undated my Nvidia Drivers to the latest ones.

I have a few games that will only start if I go to users, and disable the UAC (user access control) Other than that the games say they cannot "write" to the disk, and for that matter will not even start! I have had to disable the UAC (which also requires a reboot) in order to play some of my games. This in turn makes me paranoid, and I even unplug my modem due to the decrease in security. Is there any way to set a certain level for these games to prevent me from having to do this each time to play certain games? Or do I have to keep disabling UAC and rebooting each time before playing the game

One day i went to open a game in the games explorer folder. None of them would open. I got an error saying "This file does not have a program associated with it. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel". All the games in the folder say the same thing. The ones I installed and the ones microsoft did. Solitaire etc.... So I decided to try to reinstall the microsoft games through the turn windows features on or off thing a ma jig and it it says an error has occured. They wont install. Whats up with that. I can access my other installed games in the start menu ect. but not in the games explorer folder.
