What is a Feed Collector?

Simply put, you. A collector is anyone that collects feeds. They can be blog, podcast, video, or even news feeds. You can collect any type of RSS feed, even upload an entire OPML file of feeds.

What is a collection?

A collection is simply a group of blogs or other RSS feeds that a user reads on a regular basis. This collection of feeds could be used to define a world as the user sees it.

Can I have more than one collection?

Yes, collectors can have more than one collection

How can I view other users' collections?

Click on "collectors" in the navigation bar at the top of any page and click on the user whose collection you would like to see.

Do I have to make my collection public?

No. Collectors will have the choice of sharing their collections.

Are there any restrictions in the types of blogs or feeds I can collect?

No. But if it's explicit, we may censor.

Do I have to be a subject-matter expert?

Everyone is an expert on something and has a view of the world to share. We do not require collectors to focus on any particular subject.

How is Feed Collectors any different from the myriad of news readers out there?

Do I have to have my own blog to be a collector?

No. You only have to be a blog reader, podcast listener, video podcast watcher, or any other feed subscriber.
