I am thinking of installing Windows Vista/Linux dual-boot, and I do not have enough information on choosing the right Linux.

I've had many OSs on this computer. Linux (red hat and ubuntu). Have had ubuntu, damn small linux, and windows on my laptop.

I have a question regarding Dual booting and istallation options. on 1 of my drives I have WINXP pro. Do I have to install Vista on the same HD that WinXP is installed in order to get Dual Boot? or can I install vista on another drive and still get dual booting. this is the only thing preventing to Jump to VISTA.

Ubuntu 8.10 has stunned me with many ways. Even if it may seem the same at first look for someone who’ve used Ubuntu 8.04, I saw tremendous progress. The impression currently have, about Linux, is going to be changed forever. Intrepid Ibex shows epic compatibility with the various system setups that I tried it with. And, looking back to some 5 years, Linux has improved a lot in being user-friendly and visually appealing.

Hope this doesnt sound like a daft question and it probably has been covered. Can you dual boot windows (either vista or XP) and linux? The reason i ask is i over heard a conversation to day and the guy was trying to do this and the computer tech he has asked to sort the problem (it aint working) is having problems.
