I've just upgraded to Vista, and on the whole its very nice, i don't like the fact there is no "up" button on the file explorer but i that's no big deal ^^

However, i really don't like the new start menu, i much prefer the old cascading style menu, is there any way i can change it? (Without using the ugly "Classic Start Menu" option)

What do you guys think of the new system?

And does anyone know WHY they changed it?

Hey guys, I have an interesting problem. IN my start menu programs folder, there is another folder called "programs" which appears to redirect to the main start menu programs folder. There is no folder named "programs" in either the start menu...

I put my PC to sleep as I went to work Thursday morning. When I got home to wake it up, a blue screen with white fonts all over it saying crazy things, one of them being of course Error. I rebooted, and everything seemed back to normal - except the start menu. It's missing that upper divider-line and all whatever icons I had in there were gone. Well, when I started using certain programs, the icons of those programs entered in the start menu, but whatever else was in there before never came back. Is there a way to change the way the start menu buttons that currently display your name, documents, pictures, music, pictures etc.
I want to make one point to my download file.

The start menu shutdown/sleep button and the shutdown, restart options have been removed from the start menu, how do i fix it?
