Last Fall, the online universe SecondLife was the new media trend buzz. Magazines covers, corporations buying store "islands" to get their brands to virutal customers, soaring new user sign-ups. That trend seems to be cooling...are we losing interest in having a SecondLife? Maybe we should Get a First Life. Yep, it's our world...sorry.
I don't get the "buzz" about Secondlife.I can see the value & attraction in extending your network through the variety of online communities however I think that interacting with other people through the medium of an online virtual world populated of badly rendered versions of people's dream-persona is just plain sad...
