Hi everyone,
I've been trying to install Windows Vista Ultimate, i've had zero luck with that today. I've formatted my hd, ive removed some ram, tried a different dvd-rom and still no luck. Everytime the computer loads up and is looking for bootable devices it finds the Vista dvd, it does not even ask me to press a button to boot from dvd, it just jumps to a screen saying:
"the file is possibly corrupted. the file header checksum does not match the computed checksum"
My computer specs are the following:
LG DVD-ROM
P4 3.00ghz Hyperthreading
1gb ddr pc-3200
ati radeon 9800 pro
110gb hd
oh, and i have tried this dvd on my laptop to see if i can get to the installation, and it has absolutley no problem, so i know the dvd is working, i know im just probably missing something really small, but i checked all the hardware before uninstalling xp and it was all compatible, pretty basic mainstream stuff
Thanks in advanced!
Rene
