Elite politicians, including
Elite politicians, including presidential candidate Barack Obama, are trying to limit access to on-demand, short term financial assistance in America. Some cities and towns are even placing restrictions on where these legitimate payday loan companies can establish their businesses. Even worse, several states including Georgia and North Carolina have successfully imposed complete bans on the payday loan industry, and several more states are following in their footsteps. Nationwide, American citizens are struggling to have their voices heard. They want to fight legislation that would wipe out the payday loan industry in the United State. Obama, and many other misled political officials, are advocating for an all-out ban of the payday loan industry for the sake of personal political gain. Their desire to eliminate the payday loan industry holds no regard for the people who need financial help in this depressed economy.

Payday Loan Advocate
In 2006, both current presidential candidates, Barack Obama and John McCain, gave ardent support to a bill that took away a select group’s access to no fax payday loans. The bill, which went into law in October of 2007, capped the interest rates that payday loan stores could charge military personnel at 36 percent. The reasoning behind such a measure stemmed from an increasing number of American soldiers in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, and other branches, discovering that loans had been taken out, in their names, without their knowing. Sometimes, they wound up being victims of identity theft. Other times, their spouses took out loans in their names without their consent, and then defaulted on them. Even worse, claims were made and accepted by the public that members of the military, who traditionally are low-income folk, also have little to no fiscal know-how. Therefore, in the interest of preventing these folks from compromising their security clearance, the government ruled in favor of the measure. Now, Obama has gone on record, declaring that he supports a measure that would impose the same interest cap for everybody, thus driving the entire industry out of the country. With the option of financial freedom at stake, think about this before casting your vote.

Expenses for Something...
With just less than one week left until we find out who will be our Commander in Chief for the next four years, there are new controversies surrounding both the Democrat and Republican camps. News sources are excited to report that the Republican National Committee spent upwards of $150,000 on new clothes for Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin. While this story has been circulating, inspiring an avalanche of negative publicity, anti-Republican attacks, and the like, I am not rolling with this tide. As a matter of fact, considering that both Palin and Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama have spent large sums of money on clothing, it doesn’t make me disrespect or respect one more than the other. After all, we live in a society where looks, more than anything else, are the prime things that we judge people on. If you have one candidate in designer duds, but somebody else who looks as if they’ve gotten their entire wardrobe from the Wal-Mart clearance rack, the latter won’t be taken seriously. And, besides, look at the attention Sarah Palin is getting with her wardrobe. It doesn't seem like such a bad political move. They spent a lot less on Sarah's wardrobe than Obama spends on TV commercials. In the end, I really hope that the American people will judge the candidates on the issues, and vote for the candidate that supports Americans' right to freedom for personal financial responsibility and the continued rights to no fax payday loans.

About John Mc Cain...
A transcript was run in The New York Times of John McCain’s stump speech in Dayton Ohio, and the senator from Arizona seems to be spoiling for a fight. “I’m an American,” he said, “and I choose to fight. Don’t give up hope. Be strong, have courage, and fight.” He calls to fight for what’s right in America, like justice and opportunity for the children. However, with things like Issue 5 going before Ohio voters, McCain still wouldn’t gloss over the dark clouds ahead. He’s pointing out that “Barack the Redistributor” will spread the wealth around, but not help to create more. Obama believes taxes are too low, whereas McCain thinks that the spending of the last eight years has been too high. Payday loans do not irk McCain as much as Obama’s promise to bail out Wall Street with $750 billion of taxpayer’s money. McCain, the “maverick” plans to “get the economy out of the ditch and back in the lead,” which he thinks will make it possible for Americans to pass a better life onto their children and their grandchildren.

Good
Good, you guys are another way of ripping off the poor at unbelievable intrest rates. I hope they shut you all down. Get rich off the poor and helpless. $500.00 costs you $75.00 which you couldn't afford in the first place, so you take it out again at another $75.00, endless cycle to rip people off.
Phillies' World Series...
Philadelphia Phillies have won their first World Series in 28 years. The last time they climbed to the top of the mountain (1980), Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose and Steve Carlton showed the American League the meaning of spirited, winning baseball. Today, as emotions run high and the city of Philadelphia gears up for celebration of their boys bringing home the Commissioner’s Trophy, pillars of the community like Temple University are preparing for mass rioting. According to Dean of Students Ainsley Carry, “Students involved in vandalism, refusal to disperse, destruction of property, etc. will face both criminal and University disciplinary action. Sanctions may range from fines up to and including immediate suspension. Surveillance – including videotaping – is heightened during the Series on campus and throughout the city.”
I’m all for personal responsibility, which includes showing respect for others and their property. But is the feel of a police state crackdown necessary? Wait, this is Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love. Of course it is necessary.

Best Halloween at Payday Loan...
Halloween was the best time of the year when I was a kid. There were not many things I looked forward to more than Halloween trick-or-treating. My sweet tooth knew no limits when it came to that all-day-and-night candy bacchanalia. Everywhere you turned, you’d find strange-looking creatures, big and small, harvesting different candies from every corner to collect the most sweet, tasty pieces of jewels. I do not exaggerate when I said I had a sweet tooth. If the world was made of chocolate, I swear, I would’ve munched it flat. My Halloween routine, however, had nothing on the Trick-or-Treater’s coding system these folks in Sacramento, California created. Kids would leave codes for each other at the foot of the driveway telling the other kids everything from “no one home,” “full-size candy bars,” and even “mean dogs.” Every kid knew the chalk-marking system, saving a whole lot of trouble for each other. They’ve made Trick-or-Treating more convenient with these clear signals. I wish the families who, during my time, were facing some temporarily rough financial times, would’ve considered timely personal loans to help them score some good chocolates and candy bars. They are affordable and easy to pay back over time. As a matter of fact, they would have paid off their loan by the time I finished all the candy in my bag – and I went through it quick!

President Obama on Payday Loans
The issue on payday loans is not yet over. To some people payday loans are important because it really helps them a lot for their unexpected expenses. Election Day has come and passed, and America has chosen Barack Obama and the prospect of change in the USA. It is obvious that change is going to come, but the question is going to be whether or not that change is for good or ill. America believes that he will bring a good change to this country. Obama has promised many things, such as lower taxes on the middle class, a timeline for withdrawal from Iraq, and a “line by line” trim of the federal budget. What many people do not know is that Obama is for the eradication of the payday loan industry. He believes that eliminating the industry will be a protective measure for low income families and minorities, by protecting them from predatory lenders, which would only really be protecting America from freedom of choice in our finances. Obama may be bringing change, but hopefully not change from the freedom of payday loans as an alternative with dealing with the banks and credit card companies that got us into the mess we got into in the first place.

Who vote Wisely???
At last, the controversial Election Day is over, and we now know who our next President of United States will be. Hopefully, America has made wise decisions. I hope the American people really thought about the issues in play before casting their vote last November 4. It’s sad that the reality of how much people think about their political choices is less than studied. Some of us put more thought into whether to take out a payday advance than what the issues are. Listen to this brief audio snippet for instance. It‘s a recent episode of “The Howard Stern Show,” posted courtesy of BPM Deejays of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Roving Reporter Sal roamed the streets of Harlem, New York to get the opinions of men and women, to see whether they supported Barack Obama or John McCain for President. In actual fact, this was to determine whether African-Americans would automatically vote for Barack Obama simply because he’s black. Sal reverses the candidates’ positions on issues like the pro-life argument, stem cell research, the war in Iraq and who Sarah Palin is. Shockingly, many of the responses were brainless. Sal gets people to admit that they support Obama despite what policies he represented. This discussion has exposed something truly depressing. The truth is that many people are uninformed as to the issues. Many people try to play a part of popular opinions.
