Microsoft continued to build on the success of its Xbox platform by extending it's popular Live gaming platform to Windows PCs. The service would debut on May 8, and would connect gamers on both platforms together.

"Shadowrun" will be the first PC and Xbox 360 title to allow gamers on either platform to play one another in a single environment starting in June, although the Vista version of "Halo 2" due May 8 will permit person-to-person matches across either platform.

Bionic Commando started as a 1987 arcade spin-off of the Commando series. Both Commando and arcade Bionic Commando star a man named Super Joe. However, just as the Commando games are called "Wolf of the Battlefield" in Japan, arcade Bionic Commando is called "Top Secret". Webcasting has officially made its way to the beer-and-football mainstream thanks to the National Football League, which has announced plans to stream live broadcasts of Sunday night football games this fall. These streams will be the first time the NFL's content is made widely available online, and the news means that the patented Madden "Boom!" will soon be coming to a laptop near you.

Inside the case of the new James Bond XBOX 360 game that came out today is a special insert card that allows you to trial the Netflix streaming service for 48 hours. While the trial won't officially kick off until later in the month when the new XBOX 360 console upgrades roll out, this is the beginning of what is expected to be some massive marketing efforts by both Netflix and Microsoft for the new service. While this is the first game I have bought that has the trial offer included, I expect other games will offer it as well.
