Stress in the British workplace is soaring as job insecurity begins to bite, according to a new report.
A survey from employee satisfaction specialists Maven Research revealed that the credit crunch is testing our nerves at work, with almost two thirds - 61 per cent - saying they are feeling under more pressure than they were a year ago.
In addition one in seven workers -15 per cent - are now seeking professional help, such as psychotherapy, counselling or medication, to try to combat stress.
