In the last two years, Russia has warned, in increasingly strident terms, of it's objection to plans by the U.S. and it's allies to deploy a defensive missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic. In addition Russia has said in the past that there are certain "red lines" in foreign relations that no nation should cross. Russia's Foreign Minister today stated that the U.S. and Czech Republic will have crossed over such a "red line" if the defensive missile agreement just signed is ratified by the Czech Parliament.
