Presidents typically say they want to be surrounded by strong-willed people who have the courage to disagree with them. President-elect Barack Obama, reaching out to Hillary Rodham Clinton and Republicans, actually might mean it.Abraham Lincoln meant it. He appointed his bitter adversaries to crucial posts, choosing as war secretary a man who had called him a "long-armed ape" who "does not know anything and can do you no good."

Republicans Continue To Push for Gridlock Politics
It's time for America to wake up. The Republicans define Obama working with them as having him give in to all their wheems. Like it or not the Democrats, led by Mr. Obama, have won the election and are installing the adjenda for change. The same agenda the American people called for.
Next time maybe the conservatives will get off their behinds and rally enough voters to make a difference. Then again they had control of the Presidency and the full congress at one time, and did ABSOLUTELY nothing to better America.
