Then how come my Microsoft applications only open links in Internet Explorer?I'm hating Microsoft more and more as I explore the... wonders... of Vista.

Some Windows XP SP3 users running Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 had some problems uninstalling this version to upgrade to IE8 beta 2, this happens when you first install Internet Explorer Beta 1 and then upgrade to Windows XP SP3. In this case users have to manually uninstall IE8 beta 1 before upgrading to IE8 beta 2. Microsoft has posted some helpful information on how to uninstall Internet explorer on IE Blog.

I use Gmail as my default E-mail program, so I wanted easy access on the desktop. So I dragged the little picture from the Url bar onto my desktop. When I double clicked it Firefox opened a new tab and gave me a blank page with this in the Url bar. file:///C:/Users/Tadd/Desktop/Gmail.url (My name is Tadd). It also said done in the bottom left hand corner. So I tried making a internet shortcut by right clicking, I got the same result. So for the hell of it I tried it in the quick launch bar.
