Super Smash Bros. Brawl is finally upon us, and Nintendo has pulled out all the stops to deliver one of the most compelling, in-depth, feature-packed game ever released. With 35 Characters, 41 Levels, an epic story mode, dozens of events, a stage editor, and more, this game will keep you coming back for a long time.

Hardcore gamers may have survived for a while with the occasional title thrown their way on the Wii, but the casual-focused conference at E3 this year left many wanting more. Though Nintendo did reveal that new installments of the "core franchises" in Mario and Zelda were in development, it didn't say much else. If the latest remarks from famed designer Shigeru Miyamoto are any indication, though, the old classics will be coming back in "newer and fresher" ways.

Twenty years ago, Bionic Commando swung its way onto the NES. Though many U.S. gamers never played the original, the name and difficulty have become part of gaming lore. Capcom is finally revisiting the classic with an updated version that takes everything that was good from the past, modernizes it, and then adds new layers of awesome. Bionic Commando Rearmed is the ultimate videogame remake.

1. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is one of the greatest games ever made, and even though it is ten years old, it is still very impressive. It features amazingly satisfying action/exploration gameplay, tons of secrets, and one of the best soundtracks ever to grace a videogame. This is a fantastic oldschool game that hardcore gamers will really appreciate. Castlevania: SOTN is highly recommended.
