But what were the very best games? What games stood out for having outstanding visual design, excellent music, and groundbreaking gameplay? Later this month, GameSpot will reveal its top picks for this year's very best games in every category on every platform--and we'll also be rolling out our readers' choice ballot so that you, too, can cast your votes and make your voice heard.
