(PC's are Vista Home Premium and XP Pro.)

I have a few PC's set up with Act 9.0 and Quickbooks 2007. PC1 connects to the server via simple file sharing to access the database. I have mapped drives directly to the shared DB's and in each program and I set that drive as the default location for DB's.

The problem I am having is on both Act and QB if I reboot the machine and then start the program it does not automatically open the last used DB so I have to manually browse to it and open it from within the application. As long as I don't reboot it is fine but as soon as I reboot it loses the path, it does not break anything but it is a pain to be forced to browse to the DB again.

MS Narrator automatically self initiates each time I start or restart my PC. I've gone into the Ease of Access in the Control Panel, but there doesn't seem to be an option to disable MS Narrator. Is there a known solution for this? I guess if I had to I can live with MS Narrator starting up every time I reboot since I can always exit/close it once it's open, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it's still annoying to hear the artificial voice come on by itself at start up.
