I just got a laptop with vista and I'm trying to get it to network (through a router) with my other computer with xp installed. Vista recognizes my XP computer (meaning that it will list it in my network) but I cannot connect to the xp machine. The error I get is that the vista machine cannot ping my xp machine. The xp machine has a LAN ip address, but I cannot ping it for some reason. What can I do to get around this?
