Many years ago when I was in my early 20’s my father and I both setup two Ameritrade.com accounts. Back then, it was actually quite expensive to set up accounts like this. At the time, you were required to fund your account with a minimum of $1,500 USD. We both decided to get separate accounts based on a challenge to see who could make the most money online by day trading.

That is a common cliché among bloggers, make money online experts and web entrepreneurs. I am sure you heard it before. Heck, I used to give this advice myself. It goes like this:

If you want to make money online, you got pick a topic that you are passionate about. You need to love it, else it will not work.

I used to agree with it, one hundred percent.

Lately, however, I started questioning that rule. Creating a website on a topic that you love is certainly a good strategy, and it works well for many people, but I am not sure if it is the only way to go, or the best one.

AT&T today announced a new Mobile Banking solution for the Apple iPhone on AT&T that allows users to manage their finances. The Mobile Banking App will include checking balances and transaction history, transferring funds, receiving offers, viewing and paying bills, and tracking rewards points. The service that this App interfaces with is now available from all Firethorn financial institution partners that include: America First Credit Union, Arvest Bank, BancorpSouth, Carolina First, FirstBank, Mercantile Bank, SunTrust, Synovus, USAA and Wachovia.
