I was pleasantly surprised when I got my hands on the Elevator laptop stand by Griffin Technology. The photos on their site led me to believe that it was thin, frail, and could possibly snap if too much weight was applied to it.

Transitioning from Windows to Linux often leaves you scratching your head, wondering what software to use for common tasks. Sure, Linux has alternative software, but sometimes you just want to install a Windows application that you are used to.

For example, if you are very comfortable working on Photoshop, getting started with Gimp will take some time. In such cases installing a windows application on Linux is the only option you are left with to complete your task quickly.

The resilience of Linux advocates never ceases to surprise me. I think that nothing short of the sun going super nova will make them stop believing that Linux will ever become mainstream.

Linux just keeps popping up on many of the popular gadgets that are hogging the limelight nowadays. Some are quite conspicuous about it, like the Android phone that is being developed by a group that makes it very obvious, calling themselves the Open Handset Alliance. However, there are some that don't flaunt Linux around, like the Amazon Kindle. Not that they have to, but well, allow me to do it for them here anyway.
