Bluetooth Line-in Volume

I've just installed Vista Ultimate on my laptop, 1.73ghz, 1gb ram, geforce go 6200. Pretty paltry so I was surprised when it ran pretty damn smoothly with all eye candy on, including Aero.

I've installed the WIDCOMM bluetooth stack and connected my bluetooth earpiece. Unfortunately, the line in, mic volume is too low, that voice recognition can't pick up most of what I said. When I try to adjust the volume level in Options, it only goes up to something like 0.0dB which doesn't help.

Does anyone have any tips?

Vista Bluetooth Microphone Level

Same problem here: Bluesoleil Stack, Plantronics 510 Headset. Microphone is impossible to hear in any application. Found no solution so far, sorry....

Same problem, same headset. Its great with the cell, but on my computer which uses the extremely tiny Cirago usb dongle running toshiba stack on vista ultimate I get very low volume in Skype, even when everything is all the way up. The British lady in the test recording can barely hear me.

Mic Volume Too Low
Ever since I have installed Vista my mic has been impossible to hear, on Skype, Stickam or even recording videos they level of volume is pathetic and you can barely make it out. I have a built in mic that was fine until I installed Vista and I even went out and bought a headset mic for Skype but its the same.

I have my mic in sounds turned up, I even went and put the mic booster on and still hardly a difference.

Anyone know whats going on?
Windows Mobile Device Center No Longer Beta
Here is a link to the non-beta Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC). As indicated it finally is out of betaness. I have it installed and working very well with Bluetooth. The WMDC can always be sort of a pain with USB. So, if USB doesn't work right off, then I always get it working first with Bluetooth. On my real Vista laptop (and the later Vista betas, including RTM), I never got the WMDC beta to work with USB. Post back if you want info about installing. In general, it can be tricky to install.
Auto-accept files through bluetooth in Vista?
Does anyone know how to make vista auto-accept files sent to it through bluetooth? I don't like having to right click on the bluetooth icon and click "Receive a file" before each and every file I try to send.
