Vista network connection issues

Hi Guys,

I have a really frustrating problem that I haven't been able to fix, and haven't got a response from Windows support.

I am running:
Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit
6600 2.4 Core Duo 2
2GB RAM
Netgear Modem
DLink Wireless Card DWL-G510.

I managed to find drivers for the wireless card, and it works perfectly fine (I can connect to my wireless network, and pick up networks in the region). I can also surf the net.

My issue is that I cannot connect to bittorent clients (such as Azureus), it says the port is blocked! I cannot connect to MSN whatsoever, there is a connection issue. Windows Defender also has problems updating - it is just unable to connect online to do so.

Kaspersky and Azureus

Hey guys,

So I installed Windows Vista Business edition and I am using Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.2.614. For some reason, ever since I installed Kaspersky, I haven't been able to properly use Azureus. It works fine sometimes, and I have done all the appropriate port forwarding, but the NAT always shows red... even when kaspersky is closed or when anti-hacker is set to allow all. Any suggestions? I am not sure how to allow Azureus in Kaspersky, im new to this AV program.

Thanks

Azureus and Vista help please!

Initially I tried to install Azurues to download my torrents once I installed Ultimate. I had to update my Java Runtime Enviroment, and then installed Azureus without any trouble. I started the program and it came up with an error that said the JVM could not be started. That's A problem, but not THE problem.

Now, when I go to the Azurues site, and try to download the install package, it shuts down my internet browser. This happens when I click on download in both Firefox and IE.. What the heck? Is this a Vista "feature"?

Suggestions would be great!

JVM starting problem with Azureus install...

Downloaded and installed Java once I got Vista up and running yesterday. Installed Azurues version for Vista. When I start the program it brings up an error saying that JVM failed to start. Anyone have any suggestions?

Should I reinstall the program in XP compatability mode?

Vista lacking ActiveX and DirectDraw

first post.
I'm trying to install a program called WYSIWYG, a lighting program, and when i go through the install it says "directdraw not properly installed, make sure you have service pack 3 and DirectX installed" now i've installed dx10 and installed the latest forceware drivers and it still doesn't work. it always stops.

Also when i try to run a file, a keygen, it always says "error 429, the activex can't create object" Do i have to download something to get this to work? i have no idea.

Also windows keeps crashing, it'll say explorer stops responding, i think it's due to itunes or azureus.
