Upon Installing Windows Vista, I was getting the "Blue Screen of Death" and it would only appear for half a second. I could not workout why vista would not complete the installation until i got a glimpse of the blue screen before the sytem rebooted.. Apparently, there is a problem with the ATI driver that vista shipped. So, What i did was, replace the graphic card with an old one, and I could complete the installation that way. If you are having the same problem, follow the steps below:
Replace ATI Graphic Card before Vista Installation.
Install Vista
Do a Windows Update When Installation is complete.
Download the Latest ATI Driver for your ati Card
Shut down Computer and Replace Graphic Card with the ATI Graphic Card
Restart your PC and install New Driver
* If you reboot your system by mistake without installing the driver, you will end up getting the "blue screen of death" once again and the only way to fix that is to login on safe mode and install the ATI latest software/driver.
I hope this helps!! ![]()
