Currently my system consist of: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+, 1 gig of ram, NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache, 400gig HDD.

When I had xp I was able to use a dual monitor using my 19" flat and 58" plasma HDTV, now all I get is flickers on the big screen. I'm getting a 2.3 rating on my video from vista. Now I'm looking for something that would allow me to use the full features of vista and need some suggestions.

Random Vista crashes/lock ups in games

Well I have encountered a bit of an issue when running certain games, even ones like C&C3 that are Vista compatible. At random times, and its not always frequent it can be a day or two, or then happen twice or three times in one day I will get a total lock up during the game where the sound playing is stuck repeating and the screen freezes with odd colors and such. Earlier today I had one and was able to get out but it was the blue screen of death dump.

Slow networkings with Vista

Hi,
I have a pbl with my internet connection (ethernet and wireless): it works perfectly with my laptop (XP Pro) but is very very slow with my new Dell desktop (Vista Premium), would it be with Firefox or Explorer, with a ethernet cable or wireless (as a matter of fact, it worked fine first and got slower each day). In many forums, I read that it could be usefull to disactivate AutoTuning but it didn't work for me. I also disactivated Windows' Firewall without success.
If any one can help me...
Many thanks in advance,
Timothee

Hard drive space disappearing

Tue, 2007-02-13 19:58 - Topics:

I purchased a new computer a couple weeks ago:
HP a1700n
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ dual core processor
250 GB hard drive
1 GB ram (expandable to 4 GB)
Windows Vista Home Premium

My problem is with the hard drive space. 250 GB is more than enough space for me, but the problem is that it's started disappearing for no reason. When I got it, it had around 230 GB which was fine, and after I transferred my files/programs from my old computer it had around 200-210 GB. Well lately it's just disappeared without me even saving anything or downloading hardly anything. It went from 200 to 193 to 187 to 183 somehow.

Help Please!

Windows Vista Ultimate Query

Wed, 2007-02-07 05:06 - Topics:

I have just purchased a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate, my computer has a AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual core processor 3800+

My question is I want to take advantage of the 64 bit capability

Does my retail copy of Windows Vista Ultimate come with a 64 bit install or do I have to purchase another version of vista primarily for 64 bit

Thank you for any replies
