That's because Hotmail and MSN have there own online survive to import mail for their server. Same thing with Outlook Express (not importing MSN or Hotmail main to your inbox)

My real question is there a way that I can use my hotmail account in Windows Mail without HTTP, but with POP3 and SMTP?

I'm kind of dissapointed why MS will not allow hotmail addresses to be used with Windows Mail. I was really looking forward to using it too! Does anyone know why they chose to do this? And uh, is there a way to by pass it, or not?

Other than live mail being able to use hotmail and having adds, is there any differences?

i have windows vista, and i always used yahoo internet based mail online. i always saw in past versions of windows of outlook express which i always ignored. now i have windows mail, which replaces it so i want to give it a try. thing is, i don't know how to set it up. how to set up an email account or anything. i tried to make a hotmail account, but it said it wouldn't let me. what do i do?
