hey all im upgrading to vista soon and have 1gb of non brand ram ( pc3200 400mhz 2x 512). im gonna purchase some non brand name from ebay and with pc3200 and 400mhz. i played f.e.a.r today on my computer on high settings and it lagged a tiny bit but was playable but just not something i could stand and it used all my ram which got me thinking im gonna really need 2gb for f.e.a.r and vista. so would you guys say brand name ram really makes a difference?
